The Briggs brand
of hosereels is based on the tried and tested Ocmis range, imported
under licence and adapted, where necessary, especially for the UK
market.
Each of the
highly efficient turbine powered units is packed with advanced features:
Top quality PE hose is
manufactured to resist very heavy drags and very high working pressures.
Turntables are mounted
on large diameter ball bearings for easy rotation.
Drums are supported by large, waterproof
bearings to increase drum life.
Three or six speed operation is provided
by a oil-bath gearbox fitted with tempered, hardened and rectified
shafts. Shafts are designed to operate within the toughest working
conditions.
The choke-flow turbine has an outlet
perpendicular to the by-pass entry. The turbine impeller is then mounted
directly onto the inlet shaft of the gearbox. This advanced system
reduces the head losses to give a wider speed range, even when the
flow and the inlet pressure of the machines are low.
A multiple compressor
enables the largest irrigators to be emptied in 2-4 minutes.
