Turf growers can benefit enormously from the controlled application that boom irrigation has to offer. The controlled droplet size means that turf seed establishment is simple without any damage to the soil surface. The nozzle set up allows the boom to continuously run on to dry ground which also keeps soil pick up on the wheels to a minimum.
Combined with an engine driven hosereel the irrigated width can be adjusted from only 1 nozzle working (4 metres) to the maximum with all nozzles working. This is particularly useful for irrigating strips of turf prior to harvesting.
